Lola and her Apo share stories, laughter, and quiet truths in Lola’s living room, where holiday scents linger and Parols glow each December. As they craft the Filipino Christmas lanterns, carols in Tagalog and English fill the room with memory and song. Lola, ever the storyteller, passes on the history of the Parol and its place in family tradition, weaving tales of faith, resilience, and joy. Through these moments, they explore identity and generational love. As time moves forward, Lola’s light passes to her Apo, who carries it on, one Parol at a time.
